It was John Barbour who founded his weatherproof clothing company in the northern English port town of South Shields in 1894. A good 40 years later, the sub-brand Barbour International was created, as Duncan Barbour realized that no specific weatherproof clothing was being produced for motorcyclists. Thus, Barbour International initially specialized in the production of motorcycle clothing.
Modern leisurewear
Barbour International is now known for its slimmer-fit jackets with modern designs. The wax jacket, a brand icon dating back to 1936, remains extremely popular. The combination of gold-plated buttons, the adjustable waist belt, and the large logo patch make the wax jacket a real eye-catcher. In addition to first-class motorcycle clothing, Barbour International focuses on trendy and casual leisurewear that is characterized by its durability and high quality. Whether it's a T-shirt with a comfortable fit, a sweatshirt with a large logo print, or a beautiful polo shirt with a classic collar, Barbour International products ensure contemporary and modern styling.
