Fit & Size Advice

Columbia sizes according to American standards – meaning: generally roomier than European brands. If you wear an M at Lyle & Scott, an S might fit at Columbia.

Jackets: Columbia plans for layering. A rain jacket in your normal size has enough room for a fleece underneath. If you only want to wear the jacket over a T-shirt, consider whether a size smaller fits better.

Fleece: Here, true to size applies according to American cut. The fleeces are a bit longer in the torso than European brands – good for tall people, possibly a size down for smaller statures.
