In 1965, Leon-Claude Duhamel observed people in Paris standing in the rain, their clothes soaked, and protected only by cumbersome umbrellas. He then founded the K-Way brand to create a practical and lightweight rain jacket that was easy to carry and store. K-Way's first rain jacket was made of nylon and weighed just 250 grams. Its light weight allowed it to be folded into its own pocket, making it perfect for hikers, cyclists, and other athletes.
